MER Clinic: Don t Get Caught Speeding - Using JMRI DecoderPro to Create Speed Tables

Presented by Scott Henry @ CD&PD Minicon 2010

DecoderPro is a computer-based system to simplify programming locomotives compared to using a throttle. This clinic will provide a basic overview of DecoderPro. Then the focus will be on how to take advantage of DecoderPro to implement more sophisticated control of your locomotive. The bulk of the clinic will be working through the specific exercise of refining the speed control of locomotives culminating in scale speed control. Any time remaining will be used to discuss other "advanced" configurations of locomotives using DecoderPro. DecoderPro is part of the free software suite developed by the Java Model Railroad Interface (JMRI) project.
